DesignA concise and beautiful design is fundamental in every garden, as is continuity and a theme. Be it a wild, raw and natural design with organized chaos. Or something more orchestrated; tightly clipped and designed to an inch of it’s life. The first step is the consultation. As a designer, I’ll ask questions to understand and cultivate your vision, this guiding the overall design. The intention is to produce a landscape design that is a reflection of your own personal creativity and style, mixed with nature and all of her ineffable beauty and elements of surprise. Once we have completed our consultation, a design can be achieved through on-site plant placement, or more traditionally, through a drafting of your new landscape. Our drafting is done custom to your project and by hand. These conceptual drawings indicate the borders, hardscape, and general lay out of your garden. It also includes details on your specific plant placement, including existing trees and plants. Stone work, pottery, ponds, etc., are all indicated on the drawing. Your drawing comes with a binder of specifications, created custom to your project. This binder includes every detail in how to develop your garden, including information on soil amending, irrigation, drainage, existing plant management, new plants, garden ornamentation, future maintenance, resources and any other research you need done. Your design is complete with a drawing and binder of specifications. I can help efficiently implement your design from start to finish, working hands-on with architects, contractors and other designers or gardeners. This helps ensure that your design will come to fruition quickly and as close to the custom design specifications as possible. $150. per hour (3 hour minimum) |

Beneficial Insect ReleaseInsects are imperative to a healthy and beautiful garden. We create habitats for your ladybugs, butterflies, honey bees and more, to thrive. One time beneficial insect release can be done throughout the year and specific to any challenges you are having in your garden. There is a host of insect and beneficial microbes that can be used organically and sustainably in your garden. Your beneficial insects can be as simple as releasing ladybugs on your roses to kill aphids – or as extensive as creating space for honeybees for your back yard. We also work with schools and non-profits in insect education. Give us a call to talk more about how you can add beneficial insects to your garden. Price varies per job. |
